In March 2024, we had the privilege of hosting the Al Marwan Open Day as the official Master of Ceremonies, held in Jebel Ali, UAE. This event brought together a global audience of partners, clients, and industry leaders for a one-of-a-kind experience celebrating machinery, innovation, and Al Marwan’s rapid expansion across the region.

Jebel Ali Resort recently transformed into a vibrant hub of construction innovation, as Al Marwan Machinery hosted its highly anticipated Open Day—an exclusive event uniting global OEM partners, industry leaders, and construction professionals from across the GCC.

Over 200 attendees gathered at the luxurious beachfront venue to experience the latest advancements in heavy construction equipment and engage directly with representatives from Kobelco, Sinoboom, Dynapac, CIFA, Powerscreen, Jisung, and Astrak. The event offered a unique blend of live machinery exhibitions, in-depth presentations, networking opportunities, and cultural celebration.

A Grand Welcome and Tribute to the UAE

Guests were welcomed with a red-carpet reception and an outdoor exhibition showcasing Al Marwan’s expansive fleet and its partner OEMs’ latest machinery—ranging from road construction equipment to high-reach platforms, excavators, and crushing systems.

The event commenced with a moving tribute to the UAE’s 53rd National Day. As the national anthem played on harp, a spirit of unity and pride filled the room—setting the tone for an evening of collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Leading the evening was Andrew Moussa, Director of Groundlvl Media and renowned content creator in the construction space, who flew in from Australia to host the event and guide the audience through a night of industry insights.

A Visionary Address and Strategic Highlights

Mr. Motaz Al Zaiem, General Director of Al Marwan Machinery, delivered the opening keynote—highlighting the company’s 46-year legacy in the heavy equipment sector. He emphasized Al Marwan’s commitment to offering both new and rental solutions, strategic regional growth across the GCC, and its recognition as GCC Heavy Equipment Rental Company of the Year for both 2023 and 2024.

Mr. Al Zaiem also acknowledged Al Marwan’s community-driven values, citing the company’s active role in recent flood relief operations.

Each partner OEM took the stage to present cutting-edge machinery developments and reaffirm their collaboration with Al Marwan. Notable highlights included:

• Kobelco: Mr. Nazaki Kentaro, Managing Director, expressed gratitude for Kobelco’s loyal customer base in the region and spotlighted their trusted excavator and crane solutions. He celebrated the strength of the two-decade partnership with Al Marwan and praised their performance as a top-tier Kobelco dealer.
• Dynapac: Unveiled next-gen road construction and compaction solutions, engineered for performance and durability in large-scale infrastructure projects.
• CIFA: Announced a new partnership with Al Marwan, showcasing their advanced concrete technologies including pumps, mixers, and booms—used in some of the region’s most iconic builds.
• Powerscreen: Showcased their complete range of crushing and screening equipment for quarrying and recycling applications.
• Astrak: Demonstrated specialist undercarriage solutions and equipment for underwater demolition, built to withstand the most challenging conditions.

Networking, Culture & Recognition

Attendees returned to the outdoor exhibit area for machine walkarounds, product discussions, and one-on-one networking with OEMs and Al Marwan’s sales and support teams. Cultural elements added a local touch, including a traditional falconry experience and servings of luqaimat, an Emirati sweet.

A standout moment was the Best Global Newcomer Award, presented by Powerscreen to Al Marwan—recognising their rapid growth, strong customer relationships, and excellence as a regional distributor.
